Texting with EEG

Here you will find a demonstration of a research done at Sabanci University.

This system is called a P300 speller and utilizes the oddball paradigm, first introduced by Farwell and Donchin in 1988.

The video below is the fastest implementation of this system ever published in an academic work up to 2010, and has been published in various conference proceedings by Armagan Amcalar and Mujdat Cetin.

You can see older (and slower) videos of our system at http://furl.at/eeg1, http://furl.at/eeg2 and http://furl.at/eeg3

Posting an entry to Eksi Sozluk with EEG

Hi! On Thursday Jan 14th, 10.00pm (GMT+2) I held a live event on this page as I posted two entries to Eksi Sozluk using only my brain waves; entry at first try, entry at second try.

Although we did not have the chance to capture the event, below, you can see my previous videos, posting to Facebook and Twitter at http://furl.at/eeg1 and http://furl.at/eeg2.

In February, I am planning to have another live event, texting with my brain waves; I would love to hear your opinions about it.

This work is a part of my Master's Thesis on processing brain waves at Sabanci University.

And yes, I will share the details and full text of my Thesis, as well as my publications here.

(by the way you can check out my other pages, my pseudo-complete portfolio, my band - Neşeli Günler Kumpanyası, my Facebook profile, my Twitter page)
